Sansin (Sanshin Matsumoto) 1981 Catalog

Brand: Sansin
Year: 1981
Type: Catalog
Notes: 1981 English-language export catalog ("Catalog-3") for SunShine-brand bicycle hubs made by Sanshin Matsumoto Works Co., Ltd. (Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan; HQ in Tokyo), a Japanese OEM hub manufacturer active 1970s-1980s that supplied hubs to many Japanese mass-market bike brands and to SunTour for its Superbe hub line. 8 pages: Professional (large/small flange, sealed-bearing), Pro-Am, Gyromaster, entry-level, and BMX hub model lines with full spec tables. Credited to a private collector; not a freewheel maker as sometimes assumed -- confirmed via Japanese Wikipedia and a US vintage-parts dealer (South Salem Cycleworks) that this company's core/only product line was hubs.
